NSW now has 25 omicron cases

NSW says it now has 25 cases of the omicron variant of COVID-19 with the majority linked to a cluster in south-west Sydney.

Health authorities say there’s an additional case on top of the 25, an ACT man who caught the omicron strain while at the Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym in Villawood, which is part of the cluster.

There are 14 cases linked to the Regent’s Park cluster, which includes Regents Park Christian School, St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School in Regents Park, and the Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym.

None of these cases have been admitted to hospital for treatment.

All up NSW reported 208 new locally acquired COVID-19 cases on Monday.
