The Blacktown community has been given its first look at the design for the new Glendenning Ambulance Station, with an artist’s impression of the planned facility now released.
The new station will be located at 130 Glendenning Road, Glendenning, and is being delivered as part of the NSW Government’s $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program.
The purpose-built facility is designed to provide local paramedics with modern workspaces, improved operational capacity and infrastructure to support the growing Western Sydney community.
The new ambulance station will include internal parking for up to 12 emergency ambulance vehicles, on-site vehicle wash facilities, administration and logistics areas, multipurpose spaces, staff amenities including a gym, and on-site parking.
NSW Ambulance identified Glendenning as a priority location through service planning that considered Triple Zero demand and ambulance response requirements across the region.
The project remains in the planning and design stage. Design development and planning approval will continue before construction can begin, with construction and operational timeframes to be confirmed as the project progresses.
The $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter and Illawarra regions over the coming years.
The Glendenning facility will complement other planned ambulance stations across Western Sydney, including Prairiewood, Prestons and Carlingford.
Health Minister Ryan Park said the new station would help strengthen ambulance infrastructure as Western Sydney’s population and demand for health services continue to grow.
