Parramatta’s streets, laneways and public spaces will come alive with bold creativity this spring as Parramatta Lanes returns with a major program of public art, immersive installations, interactive experiences and contemporary performances.
The free festival will run from 21 to 24 October 2026, transforming the Parramatta CBD into a cultural playground across four nights.
This year’s arts program will include PurseZilla by Benjamin Akuila, an illuminated inflatable installation exploring culture, identity and community, alongside Mechelle Bounpraseuth’s giant sculptures inspired by everyday food items.
Visitors will also be able to experience immersive and interactive works including Samuel Kim and Lawrence Liang’s OURO and Rosie Deacon’s The Great Putty Pop-Up: Art Mini Golf.
Other highlights include Sound Off, presented by Low and Slow Brisbane and New Zealand curator Edith Amituanai, bringing Pasifika siren and sound culture to Western Sydney, as well as Snuff Puppets’ Human Body Organs and a large-scale car installation performance by Marian Abboud.
City of Parramatta expects around 400,000 visitors to attend this year’s festival, with more than 500 artists and 70 vendors participating across 21 sites.
The arts program will sit alongside Parramatta Lanes’ food, music and entertainment offerings, with the full 2026 program expected to be released in September.
Parramatta Lanes 2026 is funded by City of Parramatta and Create NSW’s four-year Multi-year Funding Program.
