Mr Andrews ignores a question about whether the state exited its fifth lockdown too early.
Instead, he says he is not “pleased that this is the only option” and pivots again to say lockdowns will be required until the population reaches an 80 per cent vaccination level.
“It is not easy, 100 per cent is where you really want to get to but we all acknowledge we won’t get to that. But 80 per cent as a minimum; if we can get up above that – I’m confident we will – the world is very, very different. But we are a long way from that now,” he says.
Mr Andrews again appeals for Victorians to get tested.
