Queensland has recorded 10 new local cases of coronavirus on Friday – all household contacts linked to the Indooroopilly cluster.
The current cluster stands at 89.
Of the 10 new cases, five are linked to Ironside State School, three to Indooroopilly High School and two to Brisbane Grammar School.
Eight of the 10 cases were in home isolation, two of the cases were only in the community for one day, during the lockdown.
Deputy Premier Steven Miles said it was too early to tell whether the eight day lockdown would end on Sunday.
“This is a very encouraging result,” he said.
“All the indications are that it is working, we just need to keep it up. It is too soon to say what will happen over the next few days and whether we will be able to ease restrictions on Sunday.”
