Parramatta Aquatic Centre’s health club has been named Health Club of the Year at the 2026 Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW Awards of Excellence.
The award recognises the centre’s fitness and wellbeing programs, member experience and focus on providing inclusive activities for the Parramatta community.
Wide Range of Fitness Programs
The Parramatta Aquatic Centre, known as PAC, offers a range of group and individual fitness options including Reformer Pilates, yoga, aqua fitness, cycling, boxing and Les Mills classes.
Members can also access personal training, small group training and fitness challenges.
Programs specifically designed for older residents focus on healthy ageing, functional movement, balance and mobility, while also providing opportunities for participants to connect socially.
Focus on Inclusive Health and Wellbeing
City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cameron MacLean said the award recognised the work of staff in creating an accessible and supportive environment for people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities.
The health club forms part of PAC’s broader aquatic, fitness and recreation facilities, which are designed to support both structured exercise and community participation.
Parramatta is one of Sydney’s most culturally diverse areas, and PAC has developed a number of programs aimed at making sport and recreation more accessible across the community.
Latest in Series of Awards
The 2026 recognition follows several recent awards for the Parramatta Aquatic Centre.
At the 2025 ARI NSW Awards, PAC received three awards, including the Social Impact Award, Swim Teacher of the Year and an Award of Excellence.
A year earlier, the centre was also named Facility of the Year at the 2024 ARI NSW Awards, alongside awards for Lifeguard of the Year and Marketing and Communications.
The latest Health Club of the Year title adds to PAC’s recognition across fitness, aquatic services, community programs and facility design.
