NSW has reported 18 deaths, eclipsing the record of 16 recorded just yesterday.
There are now 2030 people in hospital, up from 1927 yesterday, and 159 in intensive care, up from 151 yesterday.
Official cases dropped to 20,293 but this is at least five times lower than the actual number because rapid tests are not reported in NSW.
Victoria’s hospital admissions hit 818, up from 752 yesterday. There were two more deaths.
Official cases were 34,808, down from 44,155 reported on Sunday.
