NSW reports 753 cases, hits 6 million dose target, victoria records 50 new cases

NSW is reporting 753 new local coronavirus cases today. There have been no deaths overnight.

In some good news, Premier Gladys Berejiklian says the state has hit the 6 million dose target this morning. She says that equates to 60 per cent of the population of having one dose, with 32 per cent of NSW fully vaccinated.

Berejiklian says she will make an announcement on Thursday or Friday about what freedoms are in store for fully vaccinated people next month.

Victoria has reported 50 new COVID-19 cases. Of the 50 local cases recorded, 40 are linked to current outbreaks and 10 are under investigation. Only 11 cases have been in quarantine throughout their infectious period.
