A further 10 housing projects have been declared State Significant Development following recommendations from the NSW Housing Delivery Authority.
Eight of the proposals are located in metropolitan Sydney and two are in regional NSW.
If all 10 projects are formally lodged and approved, they could deliver more than 1,700 homes, including affordable housing, across NSW.
The latest declarations bring the total number of HDA proposals declared State Significant Development to 492, representing the potential delivery of more than 152,000 homes.
Twenty HDA proposals have so far been approved, unlocking more than 4,000 homes, with construction underway on 10 of those projects.
State Significant Development applications have also been lodged for a further 71 projects, representing around 26,180 potential homes.
To date, 28 State Significant Development declarations have been revoked after proponents failed to meet required timelines or decided not to proceed with their projects.
Housing Delivery Authority recommendations are published before a project is formally declared State Significant Development, as required under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.
