NSW residents to receive $50 tourism voucher

Every person across NSW will receive a $50 tourism voucher, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced.

The voucher is part of a broader $500 million investment in the state’s tourism industry.

It is understood the vouchers can be used on accommodation, including hotels, caravan parks and camping grounds.

Perrottet said closed borders had posed an incredible challenge to the state’s tourism operators.

The voucher program is being piloted and will be running statewide in March.

The state government last week announced residents would receive two additional $25 dine and discover vouchers, to use towards hospitality and entertainment and valid until June 2022.
