Financial support to NSW ends late October

Prime Minister Scott Morrison reinforced the message the federal government will cease its Jobsaver contributions to NSW by the end of the month when it hits an 80 per cent vaccination rate.

“The Commonwealth has done the big heavy lifting on economic supports to sigh Australians and Australian businesses through,” he says.

“And that’s why we want to see Australians now, not be reliant on the economic supports of government, but on the economic efforts of their own businesses and their own enterprise.

“That’s what the future looks like with living with COVID, to move away from a dependence on government to the self-dependence of the success of their own businesses and enterprises.”
