NSW reported 623 new local COVID-19 cases on Monday, the lowest daily number since mid-August, Michael Read reports.
The seven-day average of daily cases fell to 805, down from a peak of 1430 on September 11.
Six people died, taking the total number of the deaths for the current outbreak to 378.
The number of people in hospital fell to 959 from 981 while the number of people in ICU fell to 193 from 195.
There have been 10.4 million vaccine doses administered in NSW, NSW Health’s Dr Jeremy McAnulty says.
As a result, 88.4 per cent of adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 67.1 per cent of people are fully vaccinated.
Victoria has recorded 1377 new locally acquired Covid cases and four deaths in the 24 hours to midnight last night.
