National cabinet has been told there is supply issue with Pfizer, Victorian Premier Dan Andrews says.
“On Friday we were informed as a national cabinet that there’s some issue with supply,” Andrews said.
He said as premiers left national cabinet on Friday, “there is some issue there and the federal government”, adding: “I’m sure we’re working hard to try and resolve that.”
“There’s no sense of blame or criticism, this is just the reality and it makes the point that we’ve been trying to make all the way through, and look, hopefully it gets resolved.“
He called for people to get whatever vaccine is available to them, saying there are 4800 appointments currently available and 2800 Pfizer shots.
“That means don’t wait. Get the one you can get now, AstraZeneca, we’ve got plenty of that.”
