Queensland has one new case

Queensland has recorded one new local case of coronavirus in home quarantine and linked to the Sunnybank school cluster.

With school holidays starting on Saturday, Brisbane families were anxious to find out whether there would be any further lockdowns for south-east Queensland.

But so far, it is all clear.

The new case is a student from Sir Thomas More College in Sunnybank, but the family was already in home quarantine. There are two cases from hotel quarantine.

Palaszcuk said the federal government will make Pfizer available to over 60s through Queensland GPs:

“I’m advised that the federal government has also seen the value of it,” she said.

Queensland will hold a “Super Pfizer weekend” at its mass vaccination hubs to boost the state’s vaccination rate which is the worst in the nation.
