Victoria has reported 423 cases of COVID-19, suggesting the recent surge may be starting to taper with 149 cases linked to current chains of transmission.
Two deaths were reported, including 46-year-old Marty Blight, a worker at Serco’s Mill Park facility whose death was reported by media yesterday.
This takes the number of deaths from the outbreak to eight.
The five-day case average is 436, compared to 217 a week ago.
