Scott Morrison says for Australians to get back to pre-pandemic life safely, the states and territories need to have their public health settings finely tuned.
He says home quarantine systems, QR codes, smartphone apps and other measures will be a line of defence once the reopening begins after 70 and 80 per cent vaccination thresholds are met.
Morrison says Australians will need vaccination certificates for international travel, but resists calling the document a “vaccine passport”.
“Home quarantine is where we go next,” he said.
Morrison looks forward to theatre, music concerts and restaurants openly freely once technology is in place.
