NSW reports 452 new cases, one more death

NSW is reporting 452 new locally acquired coronavirus cases this morning.

There has also been one death overnight: an unvaccinated woman in her 70s.

More than 152,000 tests were conducted during the reporting period.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian has pointed to a number of suburbs of concern, including a number in Sydney’s west and regional NSW.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian says 52 per cent of eligible people in NSW have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.

She says the state is well on the way to getting 6 million jabs out the door by the end of the month with 5.2 million administered so far.

Data on suburb-by-suburb vaccination rates will be available publicly.

The NSW government is looking to ease restrictions next month in areas where case numbers are low but vaccination rates are high.
