Forward-thinking Melbourne-based property developer, BEKL, has announced the launch of its new co-working brand Curago; a move born out of the rise in demand for flexible commercial space in Melbourne.
BEKL Managing Director, Katherine Liu, said the office space became available during a time when they were seeing a shift in remote working and a subsequent rise in demand for flexible commercial office space.
“The pandemic has caused a huge shift in the way we are able to work, with professionals proving they’re able to do their jobs remotely. More businesses are moving towards splitting their team’s time between working from home and going into the office, so we are seeing a trend in businesses decentralising their physical presence and leaning on coworking spaces instead,” said Katherine.
“We were seeing a growing market need not currently well-serviced in the South Melbourne area – having recently been granted conditional development approval for our new mixed-use project with ample office space available, the time was ripe to fill that gap with the introduction of a new and innovative co-working space.”
Curago, which means to ‘take charge’, is committed to helping businesses and entrepreneurs do just that, by providing members with access to a thriving community space where authentic connections can be made. Curago will also be offering tangible marketing support to businesses and entrepreneurs via its various platforms and on-site initiatives.
“Curago is focused on providing a positive customer experience while nurturing businesses and entrepreneurs within a supportive ecosystem or what we see as a talent pool of like-minded working professionals,” said Katherine.
“Curago will also offer vital business facilities and services for remote workers, which is especially important at a time where current restrictions mean not everyone can access their usual office amenities.”
Scheduled to open in early April, the new South Melbourne co-working space, spanning 1,000sqm, will offer talent a multitude of creative workspaces, in addition to a recreational breakout lounge, collaborative brainstorming area, private phone booths and perks including a meditation chamber.
Curago is located within 2km of Flinders St Station, Southern Cross Station, and Jolimont Station. Just 3km from the Melbourne CBD, Curago is also perfectly placed to offer easy access to inner-city meetings or after-work drinks.
