Shares in the heavily shorted agchem supplier rose for a second day, after Nufarm announced on Monday it would sell its South American business for $1.18 billion to Sumitomo.

The Southern Cross Cable Network has received approvals for the build of the $US 300 million SX Next cable from Sydney to Los Angeles.
SX Next will be the lowest latency cable from Australia and New Zealand to the United States once complete by the end of 2020, and capable of moving .
Spark said that Telstra would take a 25 per cent stake in the Southern Cross Cable Network, diluting Spark’s shareholding from 50 per cent to 40 per cent.

A successor to retiring Oil Search managing director Peter Botten has been named – the long-serving chief executive will hand over to Alaskan operations president Dr Keiran Wulff in February.
Mr Botten, in his 25th year as chief executive of the PNG-focused gas producer, had flagged his retirement at the company’s annual general meeting in May.
