Sigma Healthcare’s half-year profit has nosedived 81.2 per cent to $2.52 million, with the retail pharmacy group blaming one-off restructuring costs.
Sales revenue fell 4.1 per cent to 1.88 billion for the six months to July 31 after Sigma announced in March it would close distribution centres and shed 500 jobs after losing its My Chemist/Chemist Warehouse supply deal.
Sigma’s underlying profit over the period was down 43.6 per cent to $11.2 million and the company cut its interim fully franked dividend by half a cent to 1.0 cents.
