AuMake doubles revenue but posts loss

AuMake has recorded a $7.7 million full-year loss despite a doubling of revenue for the Australian retailer that targets Chinese shoppers intent on sending their products to the mainland.

The company said revenue for the 12 months to June 30 totalled $44.3 million, up from $21.4 million last year, while its net loss shrank from $11.2 million in the previous corresponding period.

AuMake executive chairman Keong Chan said the company was able to boost sales during the financial year by stocking more of its most popular goods such as infant formula and health supplements.
