Ansell profit up 4.7% in ‘tumultuous’ FY19

Ansell says it earned 111.5 US cents per share in the 12 months to June 30, at the top end of its guidance of 106 to 112 US cents.

The protective equipment company its adjusted profit rose 4.7 per cent on a constant currency basis to $US150.9 million ($A222 million) on $US1.5 billion ($A2.2 billion) in sales, during what chairman Glenn Barnes called a “tumultuous” year, which included “periods of tightened uncertainties and increased trade tension”.

At 1017 AEST, Ansell shares were up $1.34, or 5.2 per cent, to $27.21.
