NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard said there were no new cases of the omicron variant among the 271 cases reported in the state today.
It means the total number of omicron cases reported in NSW remains at six.
However, Hazzard said there was a chance omicron was circulating more widely in the community, despite the fact there were no new cases today.
“But I’d have to say, as Health Minister, I seriously question whether we haven’t got it already out in our community we know it is highly transmissible.”
