May 28, 2026 – Sydney – Binance has appointed Jenny Wei as General Manager for Australia and New Zealand, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening compliance across its local operations and supporting users across the region.
Jenny will be responsible for overseeing local strategy and operations, including user experience, partnerships, and market engagement.
She will work closely with regional and global teams to ensure services remain responsive to user needs while meeting compliance, safety and user protection requirements.
Her appointment aligns with Binance’s continued focus on evolving its operational and regulatory alignment in Australia and New Zealand.
As one of its key global markets, Binance is committed to maintaining a strong local presence, engaging constructively with regulators and industry stakeholders, and providing a safe and reliable environment for users.
Jenny’s remit also includes strengthening coordination between local and global teams to support operational clarity, regulatory consistency, and service continuity in line with local expectations.
With more than 18 years of experience across Australia’s regulated financial services sector, Jenny has worked across banking, payments, foreign exchange, digital assets and cross-border markets.
Her background spans operational leadership, regulatory engagement, governance, and building compliant financial platforms within highly regulated environments.
Based in Sydney, Jenny led the establishment and growth of the Australian operations for Ebonex, a cryptocurrency OTC desk.
Drawing on 13 years of experience with Western Union across international payments and global financial markets, she worked closely with industry participants, banking partners, and regulatory stakeholders while navigating complex local and international operating environments.
