HNA Group Chairman Wang dies in accident in France

Founder and Chairman of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group, Operator of China’s fourth-largest airline, Wang Jian died during a business trip in France, police said on July 3.

Wang Jian, 57, was on a business trip in the southern region of Provence in France, when the fall occurred, from which he suffered “severe injuries” and died in the accident, according to HNA company and the French police.

After the death of Wang Jian was announced, HNA has turned it website grey expressing condolences. ‘We mourn the loss of an exceptionally gifted leader and role model, whose vision and values will continue to be a beacon for all who had the good fortune to know him, as well as for the many others whose lives he touched through his work and philanthropy,’ the company said in a statement.
